The Anti-money Laundering (AML) Regulations issued by the European Union and expected to take effect for January 10, 2020, has forced a UK Bitcoin wallet provider, The Bottle Pay to announce its closure on Friday, 13 December, and that funds will be accessible until 31:00 (GMT) on December 31, 2019.
The UK-based Block Matrix company has recently developed a new rule that enables Bitcoin payment any social media channels whether the user has an account or not. The new development requires additional user information which has the tendency to have a negative impact on existing user experience.
With respect to this new regulation, the new enrolment, deposits, and social media bots are no longer online; also, funds that were deposited recently will be inactive and returned to the owners in the next 7 days, while withdrawals will be disabled on the 31, and all wallets delete.
