Slovak authorities have charged two employees of the state-run Tipos national lottery on charges of violating their duties and money laundering, the Slovak Spectator reported.
The CEO of the lottery, Ján Barczi, and the head of the IT department, Miloš Prelec, were charged Monday, the Spectator reported.
The two were detained following a Nov. 26 raid by authorities on the Tipos office, according to published reports. Both are accused of “violating their duties when managing entrusted property and of money laundering”, Slovakian police wrote on their Facebook page.
