Dutch police officials recently raided a building in The Hague for illegal gambling practices. They arrested a 39-year-old man on suspicion of money laundering. Additionally, they seized large sums of cash, a car and items used in illegal gambling.
The authorities launched their investigation after receiving an anonymous tip. At the time of the raid, the authorities found more than 20 people in the building who were engaged in illegal gambling practices.
The building has since been shut down by the municipality of The Hague. However, it is not the first time this has happened. Authorities had previously shut it down for six months for exploitation of illegal catering establishments and the organization of poker evenings.
