The fight against tax fraud is accelerating. According to a new report prepared by the Minister of Public Accounts, Gérald Darmanin, on Wednesday, the state has collected 5.6 billion euros in tax recovery in the first nine months of 2019, against 4 billion euros on the same period in 2018. “This is a 40% increase in the money that is in the coffers of the state,” said the minister. The recovery rate following controls is rising sharply, says Bercy: it reached 67.5% on September 30 against 64.2% a year earlier.
