Mandatory bank data reconciliation must be completed by October 31, a spokesman for the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) said on Sunday’s current channel M1.
István Binder added that the anti-money laundering law applies not only to bank customers, but also to health insurance and life insurance clients. He noted that bank identification is only required for those who signed a bank account agreement before June 26, 2017.
He recalled that the Anti-Money Laundering Act requires data reconciliation in all sectors where there is a chance that it will be used for money laundering, terrorist financing, even without the knowledge of the clients, their financial accounts and data.
