Following the investigation on Baltic which showed that the lender was involved in the Baltic money laundering scandal, and eventually led to the removal its chief, the former financial officer of the Bank, Jaonas Ahlstrom has been assigned the leading role of SEB’s Baltic division. The former regulator was removed from the position after the regulator observed deficiencies and weakness, and is currently going through procedures to determine whether a financial penalty should be imposed on the bank or not.
