Seychelles MPs released a report by the Public Accounts Committee of the National Assembly on irregular payments involving two public agencies, the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), whose role is to fight money laundering, and The National Anti-Drug Agency (NDEA).
According to the report, 220 million Mauritian rupees, approximately 5.6 million euros, would have been paid to two offshore companies based in Mauritius, Solas Beo Inc and Tech Company Ltd, without following the legal procedures Payment, reports InfoM.mu At the material time, FIU and NDEA were headed by Irish officials, Niall Scully for NDEA, Declan Barber and Barry Galvin for FIU.
