US authorities have convicted Bryan Cornelius of Knoxville, Tennessee, of conspiracy to distribute drugs (including methamphetamine, heroin, fentanyl, and marijuana), conspiracy to commit money laundering, methamphetamine distribution, and possession and discharge of a firearm as part of his drug trafficking crimes.
Cornelius was a member of the Gangster Disciples street gang. Throughout 2019, he used to order drugs from across California and received them in packages through the United States Postal Service (USPS), FedEx, and UPS. Cornelius operated from multiple locations across Knoxville to store drugs, firearms, and cash. As part of his drug trafficking operation, Cornelius even fired a gun, inflicting two gunshot wounds on his victim.
Cornelius will receive his sentence in October 2022. He could receive life imprisonment for his crimes.
